A travels 700 kms. By a bike and a bicycle in the ratio of 13 : 1. Find the
distance covered by each of the means.

Total distance covered by A : 700km

by bike and bicycle = 13x:1x
700km =13x + 1x
700= 14x
x = 700÷14
x = 50km

distance covered by bike = 50×13
bike = 650 km

distance covered by bicycle = 50 ×1
Bicycle = 50 km
