Given,

The tree of height 24m casts a shadow of length 15m.

To find,

The length of the shadow casted by other tree is 6 metres.

Solution,

As the time is same,so we are assuming that the length of the shadow will be directly proportional to the height of the tree in every cases.

So,

15m shadow casted by = 24 m tree

1 m shadow casted by = 24/15 m tree

6 m shadow casted by = 24×6/15 = 9.6 m

Hence, the height of the tree is 9.6 metres.
