let the height of tree be H,

the angle between the ground and the line between sun and the end of the shadow: tan(x)=6/4

the Height of pole: H=10tan(x)=10*6/4=15m

so the pole is 15m high

Find the tree of a 1 m long shadow

4 m long shadow = 6 m tall tree

1 m long shadow = 6 ÷ 4 = 1.5 m tall tree

Find teh height of the the pole:

1 m long shadow = 1.5 m tall

10 m long shadow = 1.5 x 10 = 15 m tall
