if distance between foot of the tree and point where it is broken is x meter.
therefore tan30=x/8
i.e. 1/root3=x/8
i.e. x=8/root3
therefore the distance between the point from where the tree is broken and the top of the tree is root(8^2+(8/root3)^2)=root(64+64/3)=root(256/3)=16/root3
therefore total height of the tree is(16/root3+8/root3)
=24/root3
