A tree breaks due to storm and the broken part bends so that the top of the
tree touches the ground where it makes an angle 45°. The distance between
the foot of the tree to the point where the top touches the ground is 10m.
Find the height of the tree from where it is broken.

Answer:

10 m

Step-by-step explanation:

The tree, ground and broken bit form a right angle triangle.  If the angle of the snapped off bit with the ground is 45 degrees, the angle of the tree to ground is 90 degrees and the angle at the top of tree with the snapped off bit must be 45 degrees (internal angles must add to 180 in a triangle).

Now two angles the same means two sides the same i.e. an isosceles triangle so the tree that is standing is also 10 m
