A tree breaks due to storm and the broken part bends so that the top of the
tree touches the ground where it makes an angle 45°. The distance between
the foot of the tree to the point where the top touches the ground is 10m.

Answer:

let's take a right angle triangle ABC where angle C makes 45°

tan 45° = perp/base

1 = AB/BC

1 = AB/10

10=AB

again ,

sin 45° = perp/hypo

1/√2 = AB/AC

AC = 10√2

total height = AB + AC

= 10 + 10√2

10(1+√2)m
