A tree breaks due to storm and the broken part bends so that the top of the tree touches the
ground where it makes an angle 30° The distance between the foot of the tree to the point
where the top touches the ground is 8 m. Find the height of the tree from where it is broken.​

BC / 8 = 1 / root 3

Similarly,

DC / BD = cos 30

BD = 16 / root 3

Therefore, height of the tree =>

AC = AB + BC

= 16 / root 3 + 8 / root 3

= 24 / root 3

On rationalize => 24 root 3 / 3

Which means the answer will be 8 root 3
