rohitub222: Answer:18.66 meters

Step-by-step explanation:
The tree is making an angle of 60° with the ground(given)
Let, AB be the unbroken part of the tree
BC be the distance from the foot of the tree to the ground (BC= 5 meters)
AC represent the broken part of the tree.
∴tan(60) = AB/BC => √3 = AB/5
∴AB = 8.66 meters
Since ΔABC is right angled triangle(as the ∠ABC = 90°)
AC² = AB²+BC²
∴AC = √8.66²+5²
∴AC = 10 meters
The total height of tree,H = AB+AC
∴H = 18.66 meters.
