a tree is broken at a height of 4 m from the ground its top touches the ground at a distance of 3 m from the base of the tree find the original height of the tree

By using Pythagoras,
we get the broken part of the tree to be 5m long.
Now,
Height of the tree
= length of the broken part + tree that is still standing
= 5 + 4
= 9
