A tree is broken at a height of 4m from the ground. Its top touches the ground at
a distance of 3m from the base of the tree. Find the original height of the tree.

Here the dimensions given are = 3m, 4m

So, =

32 + 42 = hypotenuse2

9 + 16 = 25

25 = 52

the total height of the tree =

3m + 5m = 8m
