Hi ,

Height of the tree ( h ) = 4m

Shadow of the tree ( s ) = 6.5 m

Let the Height of the house = H m

Shadow of the house ( S ) = 26 m

************************************

According to the Similar triangles ,

Corresponding ratios are equal .

************************************

h/s = H/S

4/6.5 = H/26

( 4 × 26 )/6.5 = H

16 = H

Therefore ,

Height of the house = H = 16 m

I hope this helps you.

Heya

Height of the tree = 4m

Length of tree's shadow = 6.5m

Let the height of the house be x

Length of house's shadow = 26m

Both the triangles have equal angles.

By AA criteria, both the triangles are similar.

In two similar triangles, the corresponding sides are proportional.

Therefore,

4/6.5 = x/26

4×26/6.5 = 16

Height of the house is 16m

Hope it helps!
