A tree stands 15 ft high. Its shadow is 5 12 ft long. A man 6 ft tall stands near the tree. What would be the length of the man's shadow to the nearest foot?

now,

shadow 5 12

man 6feet

actual height of the tree is 15feet.

man's height in shadow =15-5 12=9

or, height in shadow of the man =9/6=3feet

therefore, the height of the man in shadow is 3feet
