Here ABCD is the given llgm and ADC is the given traingle .

Draw AE as the height of triangle ADC.

Clearly the distance between two ll lines are equal thus, AE is the height of llgm ABCD also.

Thus ar. of ADC/ ar. of ABCD = 1/2× AD×AE ÷ AD×AE = 1:2

THUS 1:2 is the required ratio.
