first we have to find the area of triangle by using heron's formula
s=40+24+32/2=48cm
area=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
√48(48-40)(48-24)(48-32)
√48(8)(24)(16)

=384cm^2
now ,area of triangle =area of parallelogram
area of parallelogram =b×h
40×h=384cm^2
h=9.6cm
