As it is right angled triangle , with vright angled at Q.

According to Pythagoras Theoram ,

PQ^2 = PR^2 + QR^2.

It being an isoseles triangle , PQ = QR

Therefore, PQ^2 = PR^2 + QR^2 can be wriitten as PR^2 + PR^2.

So , PQ^2 = 2*PR^2.
