Given:

✰ A triangular park has sides 11 m, 15 m and 14 m

To find:

✠ Semi-perimeter ( s ) of a triangular park.

Solution:

If a, b and c are three sides of a triangle, then its perimeter ( 2s ) = a + b + c

and,

Semi-perimeter of a triangle is half it's perimeter or in other words we can say one half of a perimeter.

Semi-perimeter ( s ) = (a + b + c)/2

So, we will find the semi-perimeter ( s ) of a triangular park by using this formula, putting the values in the formula and doing required calculations.

Putting the values in the formula, we have:

➤ Semi-perimeter ( s ) = (a + b + c)/2

Here,

  • a = first side of a triangular park
  • b = second side of a triangular park
  • c = third side of a triangular park

➤ Semi-perimeter ( s ) = ( 11 + 15 + 14 )/2

➤ Semi-perimeter ( s ) = ( 26 + 14 )/2

➤ Semi-perimeter ( s ) = 40/2

➤ Semi-perimeter ( s ) = 20

The Semi-perimeter ( s ) of a triangular park = 20 cm

Given :

A triangular park has sides 11m , 15m , 14m

To find :

Find its semi perimeter.

Solution :

We Know that,

S = (a + b + c)/2

Here,

a , b , c are the sides of the Traingle.

S = (11 + 15 + 14)/2

S = 40/2

S = 20m

Therefore,

Semi perimeter of the Traingle is 20m.
