<b>AT =x sin α

BT = x Cos α

Area of triangle =( 1/2 × base × height) sq.unit

= 1/2 ×( 2BT) × (AT)

=1/2 ( 2x² Cos α sin α)

= 1/2 x² sin 2 α ≤ 1/2 x² as -1 ≤ sin 2 α ≤ 1

Maximum area of triangle ABC = 1/2 x²
