Ans.1 The narrator, a veterinary surgeon, is a capable and wise doctor. He handles Tricki properly which shows that he is sincere about his profession. He does not operate upon the dog unnecessarily and cures him by altering his diet and activities.

Ans.2 Yes, Tricki was very happy to go home. It jumped out of the narrator's arms and leaped into Mrs Pumphrey's lap as soon as it saw her. It licked her and barked. After this, if Mrs Pumphrey takes good care of the dog and does not feed it a lot, it will be as healthy as it is at the end of the story.

Ans.3 This story could be a mixture of both real life episode and a fiction. Mrs. Pumphrey has a pet dog, but he got ill because she overfeeds him. She has good intention to take care of him, but excess of everything is bad and the episode revolves around those people who do not take anything seriously.

It can also relate to the real life parents and the way they do excessive care of their children.
