Question :-

 \longrightarrowa trolley ehile going doewn am inclined plane has an acceleration of 2cm/s² what will be its velocity 3s after the start

Given :-

 \longrightarrowAcceleration of trolley, a = 2 cm/s² = 0.02 m/s²

 \longrightarrowInitial speed of trolley, u = 0 (As trolley starts from rest)

 \longrightarrowTime taken by trolley, t = 3 seconds

To Find :-

 \longrightarrowFinal speed, v

Formula required :-

 \longrightarrow\large{\bold{\boxed{\sf v = u + at }}}

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

 \Longrightarrow {\tt v=u+at}

 \Longrightarrow{\tt v= 0 + 0.02 × 3}

 \Longrightarrow{\tt v = 0.02 × 3}

 \Longrightarrow  {\boxed{\tt  v = 0.06m/s}}

Hence, the final velocity of trolley is 0.06 m/s.

=====================

More to know....

  • Final velocity (v) of an object equals initial velocity (u) of that object plus acceleration (a) of the object times the elapsed time (t) from u to v.
  • Use standard gravity, a = 9.80665 m/s2, for equations involving the Earth's gravitational force as the acceleration rate of an object.
