Given,

A trolley, while going down an inclined plane, has an acceleration of 2 cm/s².

To Find,

The velocity after 3 seconds.

Solution,

Initial velocity (u) = 0 [the trolley starts from rest]

Final velocity (v) = ?

Acceleration (a) = 2 cm/s² = 0.02m/s²

[converting it into m/s² = 0.02m/s²]

Time taken [t] = 3 seconds

The first equation of motion → v = u + at

[Substituting the values]

v = 0 + (0.02 x 3)

v = 0.06 m/s².

Therefore the velocity of the trolley after 3 seconds is 0.06 m/s².

→ Equations of Motion

The three equations of motions are as follows:

⇛ v = u+ at [Velocity - time relation]

⇛ st = ut + 1/2at² [Position-time relation]

⇛ v² - u² = 2as [Position-velocity relation]
