The truck has greater mass and thus greater momentum,so the car will stop first because of lesser momentum.
hope this helps...
cheers...

The Answer Is Same Distance,How

Applying Work Energy Theorem

W=ΔK.E.=K.E(f)-K.E.(i).

For Truck(F=Retarding Force)

F*S(T)=0-K.E(T)-----------(1)

For Car

F*S(C)=0-K.E(C)-----------(2)

Diving 1 By 2

S(T)=S(C)  [As K.E.(T)=K.E.(C)]

Hence Both Will Travel Same Distance After Application Of Same Retarding Force.
