Answer:

24 hrs.

Explanation:

Given,

A truck covers a distance in 6 hrs at the speed of 48km/hr. If the speed is reduced by 36km/hr

How much time will it take to travel the same distance.

We know that,

 \bullet \:  \:  \boldsymbol{d = s \times t}

Where,

  • d denotes the distance covered.
  •  s is the speed = 48km/hr.
  • t is the time taken = 6 hrs.

 \implies \: d = 48 \times 6

 \implies \: d = 288

∴ Distance coverd by the truck is 288km.

Now,

Speed is reduced by 36km/hr

 \therefore \rm \: New \: speed  = 48 - 36

 \rm = 12km/h

Time it will take to cover is given by,

 \implies \: \boldsymbol{ t = \dfrac{d}{s} }

Substitute the values,

 \implies \: { t = \dfrac{288}{12} }

 \implies \: { t = 24}

Time it will take is 24 hrs.

  •  s is the speed.
  • t is the time taken.
