a truck covers 10 kilometre with a speed of 50 kilometre per hour and for the 10 kilometre with the speed of hundred kilometre per hour then what would be the average speed of the truck

HEY BUDDY

SPEED = DISTANCE  / TIME

TIME = DISTANCE / SPEED

SO,

T1 = 10 KM / 50 KM PER HOUR

T1 = 1 / 5 HOUR -----------------------(i)

now ,

T2 = 10 KM / 100 KM PER HOUR

T2 = 1 / 10 HOUR --------------------(ii)

now , adding (i) and (ii)

T1 + T2 = 3 /10 HOUR

TOTAL DISTANCE  = 10 KM + 10 KM = 20 KM

NOW , AVERAGE SPEED = TOTAL DISTANCE / TOTAL TIME TAKEN

AVERAGE SPEED = 20 * 10 / 3 = 200/3 = 66.67 KM/H
