Let the original speed of the truck = x km/hDistance covered with original speed = 150 kmTime taken with original speed = 150x hrnow, increased speed of truck = x+20 km/hDistance covered with increased speed = 200 kmTime taken with increased speed = 200x+20 hrAccording to question,  150x + 200x+20 = 5⇒30x + 40x+20 = 1⇒30x + 600 + 40xxx+20 = 1⇒x2 + 20x = 600 + 70x⇒x2 - 50x - 600 = 0⇒x2 - 60x + 10x - 600 = 0⇒xx - 60 + 10x - 60 = 0⇒x-60x+10 = 0⇒x-60 = 0  or  x+10 = 0⇒x = 60  or  x = -10So, original speed of truck = 60 km/h

Hope this would clear your doubt about the topic.
