Given :   At 6:05 PM, one-fifth of the way to the dock, he passes the Temple.

At 6:15 PM, one-third of the way, he passes the Amritsari Dhaba.

To Find :  At what time does he reach the dock

Solution:

Total  Distance  = 15d

. At 6:05 PM, one-fifth of the way to the dock = (1/5) 15d  = 3d

At 6:15 PM, one-third of the way  = (1/3) 15d  = 5d

Time from 6:05 PM to 6:15 PM = 10 Mins

Hence  5d - 3d  =  2d   distance covered in   10 min

Distance remained to covered  after 6 : 15PM

= 15d - 5d  = 10d

 2d   distance covered in   10 min

=> d   distance covered in  5 min

=> 10d   distance covered in  50 min

he reach the dock = 6:15 + 50 Mins

= 7 :05 PM
