Chemical energy into kinetic energy

CyriacJ: what about potential energy?
Festone: Potential energy is not included in this case bcause it is same all the time as truck is on same height. No change in altitude is there. Thus no change in potential energy will be there..

Explanation:

This heat is the energy change. It causes a great expansion in the gases and inside the closed cylinder, this pressure pushes the piston toward the crankshaft which then turns and rotates the drive shaft which then in turn causes the wheels to rotate. This rotation results in the truck going into motion.
