Initial velocity = 72 kmph = 20 mps
time taken = 3 seconds.
Final velocity = 0 mps

a = 0-20/3 = -20/3 ms⁻²

F = ma
= 1200 * -20/3
= 400 * -20
= -8000 Newtons.

Minus sign show that force is exerted in opposite to the direction of motion.

Generally, we can say that 8000 Newtons force is provided to the car to make him stop.
