Given : Truck moves 70 m east, then moves 120m west, again 120m west.

East is chosen as the positive direction.

To Find : Truck Resultant Displacement.

Solution :

The truck moves 70m east and then moves 120m west and finally moves east again of 90 m.

As east is chosen as positive direction, thus east direction will be taken as positive nd west direction is taken as negative,

Thus,

Total Displacement = 70m+90m-120 = 40 m.

As total Displacement is in positive direction as +40 m

Thus, Total displacement is 40m in east direction.

Hence, Truck Total displacement is 40m in East direction.
