90 kmph = 90 × 5/18 m/s = 20 m/s
54 kmph = 54 × 5/18 m/s = 15 m/s

Acceleration = (v2 - u^2) / (2S)
= (15^2 - 20^2) / (2 × 40)
= -2.1875 m

(a)
v = u + at
0 = 15 + (-2.1875)t
t = 6.85 seconds
Total time in which bike came to rest is 6.85 seconds
[Note: This is the time taken to come to rest considering it’s initial velocity to be 54 kmph]

(b)
S = -u^2 / (2a)
= 15^2 / (2.1875)
= 102.85 m
[Note: This is the distance travelled by it to come to rest taking it’s initial velocity to be 54 kmph]

Heisenstein: bro r u sure about ur math? 90 kmph=25 m/s. do it again
