A truck starts from rest and rolls down a hill with a constant acceleration. It travels a distance of 400m in 20s. Find the acceleration. Find the force acting on it if its mass is 7 tonnes. (Hint: 1 tonne = 1000 kg.)

Answer:

a=2m/s² and

f= 14000N

Explanation:

s=ut+1/2at²

400=0*20+1/2*a*(20)²

400=1/2*a*400

400=200a

a=2 m/s²

Force = ma

= 7000×2= 14000N

Answer:

Explanation:

(initial velocity) u= 0

(Distance) s= 400m

(Time) t= 20s

(Mass) m= 7 tonnes

=7000 kgs

(Acceleration) a= Using s= ut+ ½at²

400= (0x20) + ½a(20)²

400= 0 +½a(400)

400= a x 200

400÷200= a

a= 2m/s²

Acceleration of the truck is 2m/s²

(Force) F= ma

F= 7000×2

F=14000N

The force acting on it is 14000N

Hope this helps you!
