here is your answer
given :
initial velocity (u) = 54 km/hr = 54*(5/18) = 15 m/s
final velocity (v) = 36 km/hr = 36*(5/18) = 10 m/s
time taken (t) = 10 seconds
to find : acceleration
solution :
by using 1st equation of motion
v = u+at
10 = 15+a*10
10a = -5
a = -1/2 or -0.5 m/s²
so, the retardation of truck will be -0.5 m/s².
