Explanation:

ANSWER:-

Given that:-

  • A truck with the speed of 20 m/s
  • The same truck with acceleration of 2 m/s²
  • It covers a distance of 40 m.

To find -

The time taken by the truck

These formulas can be applicable, which are :-

\sf{Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}}

And, the acceleration is given good-for-nothing purpose. We can determine time from this only.

\sf{Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{Time}}

\sf{20 = \dfrac{40}{Time}}

\sf{\dfrac{20}{40} = \dfrac{1}{Time}}

\sf{\dfrac{1}{2} = \dfrac{1}{Time}}

\sf{Time = 2 \ seconds}

So, 2 seconds is the required answer. Do not get confused with acceleration or else it had mentioned whether the initial or final speed is (this) or started from rest or stopped.

Given:-

  • Distance = 40 km
  • speed = 20 m/s
  • acceleration = 2 m/s

To find:-

  • time taken

Formula to be used:-

\underline{\boxed{\sf Speed = \dfrac{Distance}{time}}}

Solution:-

:\implies 20 = \sf\dfrac{40}{time}

:\implies t = \sf\dfrac{40}{20}

:\implies t = 2 seconds

hence, the required time is 2 seconds.
