Given :

➨ A truck travels at a speed of 15m/s for first half of the total time and at a speed of 30m/s for second half time of the total time.

To Find :

➛ Average speed of truck during the entire journey.

Concept :

➠ Average speed is defined as the ratio of total distance distance travelled to the total time taken.

➠ It is a scalar quantity.

➠ It has only magnitude.

➠ It can't be negative or zero.

✪ If particle moves in two equal intervals of time at different speed v¹ and v² respectively, then

v = v¹ + v² / 2

Calculation :

⇒ v = v¹ + v² / 2

⇒ v = 15 + 30 / 2

⇒ v = 45/2

v = 22.5 m/s

Given:-

A truck travels with a speed of 15 m/s for half of the time and remain half of the time it travels with 30 m/s.

To Find:-

Calculate the average speed for the truck for the entire journey.

Concept:-

➡ Average speed is defined as the ratio total distance to the time taken.

➡ It's a scalar quantity . It has not both magnitude and direction. It has only magnitude.

➡ It can't be negative or zero.

Calculations:-

➡ V = V^1 + V^2 /2

➡15 + 30/2

➡45/2

➡ 22.5 m/s.
