A truck uses a convex mirror viewfinder whose radius of curvature is 2 metre.A
Maruti car it's coming behind the truck at a distance of 10 metre. What will be the position of the car and the size of the image of the car when observed by the driver of the truck show the convex mirror?

Answer:

object distance(u) = -10m

radius(r) = 2m

focal length(f) = r/2= 1m

applying mirror formula,

1/v+1/u=1/f

1/v - 1/10 = 1/1

1/v= 1+1/10 = 11/10

v = 10/11m

position of the image will be 10/11 m in the mirror.

magnification(m) = -v/u = -(10/11) / (-10) = 1/11

Size of image= M*u = (1/11) × (-10)= -10/11 m

hope it helped you
