both have same kinetic energy as kinetic energy is compared on its motion. Both have same amount of motion so, both have same amount of kineric energy

Heya...

Here's your answer.........

K.E. = 1/2 m v2

KE truck = 1/2 * 5000 * v2

KE cart = 1/2 * 500 * v2

both have same velocity hence

(KEcart *2)/500 = (KEtruck*2) /5000

10 * KEcart = KEtruck

i.e.

Kinetic energy of truck is 10 times more than cart

which means truck needs more energy than cart to pull itself to the same speed of the cart due to it's weight.
