The beam current is 10 uA. How many electrons strike the TV screen in each second? How much charge strikes the screen in a minute?

A TV set shoots out a beam of electrons with the beam current is 10 uA.

Formula to calculate the charge is:

                                            I=q/t\\q=T*t

therefore, given I= 10uA

  1. At t=1 sec, the charge will be

                        q= 10*1

                        q=10uC

        No of electron striking is given as q/e, where e =1.6*10^(-19)

                          n=q/e

                          n=10/1.6*10^(-19)

                         n=6.25*10^(19)

     2. At t= 60 sec, the charge will be

                        q=10*60

                         q=600uC
