we know, \bf{d=\sqrt{2hR}}
where h is height of TV tower , R is radius of earth and and d is maximum distance upto which the TV transmission can be received.

Here, h = 100m
R = 8 × 10^6 m

so, d = √(2 × 100 × 8 × 10^6)
d = √(16 × 10^8) = 4 × 10^4 m
d = 40 km

hence, 40km is the maximum distance upto which TV transmission can be received.
