To Find :

The maximum distance up to which this T.V transmission can be received .

Solution :

We know , maximum distance is given by :

$D=\sqrt{2hR_e}$

Here , $R_e$ is radius of earth i.e $R_e=6.37\times 10^6 \ m$ .

Putting value of h and  $R_e$ in above equation , we get :

$D=\sqrt{2\times 300\times 6.37\times 10^6}\\\\D=6.18\times 10^{4}\ m\\\\D=61.8\ km$

Therefore , this is the required solution .
