let 7x be Lb

complimentary angles are the angles whose sum is 90°

hece, 2x+7x=90

9x=90

x=10

hence, La=2x=20°

Lb=7x=70°

2) mean= sum of terms/number of terms

mean = 16 (given)

m= x+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)+(x+8)/5

16 = 5x + 20/5

16= 5( x+4)/5

16 = x + 4

x= 12
