3×6=18
hence 3and 6 are numbers because they interchange their places

The required number is 92.

\large{\underline{\bf{\blue{Explanation:-}}}}

\large{\underline{\bf{\green{Given:-}}}}

product of digits = 18

when 63 is substracted from the number ,the digits interchange their places.

\large{\underline{\bf{\green{To\:Find:-}}}}

we need to find the number.

\huge{\underline{\bf{\red{Solution:-}}}}

  • Let the tens place digit be x
  • Let the unit place digit be y

Then,

:\implies \:xy = 18

:\implies \:y = 18/x..............(1)

and,

:\implies \:(10x + y)- 63 = 10y + x

:\implies \: 9x - 9y = 63

Dividing both side by 9.

:\implies \:x - y = 7.............(2)

Putting value of y from (i) into (ii).

:\implies \:x-\frac{18}{x}=7

:\implies \: x² - 18 = 7x

:\implies \:x² - 7x - 18 = 0

:\implies \:x² - 9x + 2x - 18 = 0

:\implies \:x(x - 9)+ 2( x - 9) = 0

:\implies \: (x -9)(x+2) = 0

:\implies \: x = 9 or x = -2

:\implies \: x = 9 [a digital cannot be negative].

putting x = 9 in equation (i) ,

we get, y = 2

Thus ,

the tens digit is 9 and units digit is 2.

Hence , the required number is 92.
