a two digit no. is such that the product of its digit is 14 . if 45 is needed to the digit intetchange their place find the no.

Hi Mate!!!

Let the dights be x and y

xy = 14 ( given )..... equation 1

10x + y = 45 + 10y + x

9x -9y = 45

x - y = 5 ..... equation 2

x - 14 / x = 5

x² -5x -14 = 0

x² -7x +2x -14 = 0

x ( x -7 ) + 2 ( x - 7 ) = 0

x = -2 and x = 7

For x = -2 y = -7

For x = 7 y = 2

So, the no. is 72
