let the number be 10x+y
and the digits be x&y
therefore, according to the condition,
10x+y=4(x+y)
10x+y=4x+4y
10x-4x=4y-y
6x=3y             (/3)
2x=y.............................1
according to 2nd condition,
18+10x+y=10y+x
10x-x+y-10y=-18
9x-9y=-18.........................2
sub 1 in 2
9x-9(2x)=-18
9x-18x=-18           (/9)
x-2x=-2
x=2
y=2x=2(2)=4
number=10(x)+y=10(2)+4
20+4=24
