Answer :

  • Hence Number is 24

Given :

  • A two digit number is four times the sum and three times the product of its digits

To find :

  • The number

Solution :

  • Let the unit digit and tens digit of the two digit number be x and y

Given that, A two digit number is four times the sum and three times the product of its digits then,

  • number is , 10x + 7

According To Question :

》10x + y = 4(x + y) , 10x + y = 3xy

》6x - 3y = 0 , 10x + y = 3y

》y - 2x , 10x + y = 3xy

》10x + 2x = 3x × 2x

》6x² - 12x = 0

》6x (x - 2) = 0

》x = 0 or x = 2

So Given number is two digit number then tens digit can't be zero

》x = 2

》y = 2 × 2 = 4

Now ,

Number

  • 10x + y = 10 × 2 + 4 = 24

Hence Number is 24

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two digit number be 10y+x

it is given that 10y+x=4(x+y)...(1)

and 10y+x=3xy...(2)

So, 10y+x=4x+4y and

⇒63y=3x

⇒2y = X

Substituting in (2)

10y +2y = 6y square

⇒12y = 6y2

⇒ 2 = y

⇒x=4

∴ The number is 10×2+4=24
