a two-digit number is four times the sum of the digit it is also equal to 3 times on the product find the number​

Let the unit digit and tens digit of the two digit number be x and y respectively.

Number = 10y + x = 10 × 2 + 4 = 24.

Hence, the required number is 24.

Let ,

the unit's place digit be x

the ten's place digit be y.

∴ The number formed = 10y + x

According to question,

10y+x=4(y+x)

⇒10y+x=4y+4x

⇒10y−4y=4x−x

⇒6y=3x

⇒x= 6/3y

⇒x=2y ___________ (1)

and also,

10y+x=3yx

⇒10y+2y=3y(2y) [from (1)]

⇒12y=6y^ 2

⇒12=6y

⇒y=2 from (1),

∴ x=2×2 =4

Hence the required number = 10×2+2

=20+4

=24
