A two digit number is obtained by multiplying the
sum of the digits by 8. Also, it is obtained by
multiplying the difference of the digits by 14 and
adding 2. Find the number.​

let 10x+y be the number

so x and y are the digits

according to the question

10x+y=(x+y)*8

or

2x-7y=0 (eq 1)

10x+y=(x-y)14+2

or

4x-15y= -2 (eq 2)

from eq 1 and 2 we get

(2x-7y=0)2

4x-15y= -2

so,

4x-14y=0

4x-15y=-2

y=2

putting y value in eq 1 we get

2x-7*2=0

2x=14

x=14/2=7

so, x=7 and y=2

so 72 is the no.
