A two digit number is such that the product of its digits is 35 . when 18 is added to the number , the digits interchanges their places . find the number .​

Let digit in unit place = x

digit in ten's place = 35/ x

original number = 10 ( 35/x) +x=350/x+x

Interchanged number =10x+35/x

because product of two digits is 35

10x+35/x=350/x+x+18

10x²+35=350+x²+18x

9x²-18x-350+x²+18x

9x²-18xx-315=0

x²-7x+5x-35=0

(x-7) (x+5)=0

x=7 , -5

..rejecting -5 as digit in unit place cannot be negative , we get , x=7

original number =350/ 7 +7=50+7= 57.
