Let the 2 digit number be 'ab'
Given 10a + b + 36 = 10b + a
10b + a - (10a + b) = 36
9b - 9a = 36
9(b-a) = 36
b-a = 4
Hence the possibilities are (5,9) , (4,8), (3,7), (2,6) , (1, 5)
Given the product of digits = 12
a*b = 12
From the above possibilities only '26' satisfies.
Hence '26' is the 2-digit number.

ebiesuwacarolin: Let the first digit be x and the second digit be y
Samsbrain: yep
ebiesuwacarolin: The product. Xy=12
ebiesuwacarolin: x=12÷y
ebiesuwacarolin: from second statement. 10x+y+36=10y+a
ebiesuwacarolin: Substitute 12÷y for x
