let the ones place digit be 4-X so the tens place digit is x
original number=10x + 4 - x
= 9X + 4
resulting new number= 10(4-x) +x
= 40 - 9X
according to question-
40 - 9X+18 =9x+4
40 + 18 - 4= 9X + 9 X
54 = 18 x
x=54➗18
x=3
ones place digit =1
tens place digit =3
therefore the original number is 13
