Resistance to change is the nature of thing. We get used to working in certain type of jobs, certain routines that changes to these are not acceptable to us humans.
This is how things are in life. People say that " change is necessary for things to improve " but it requires a force to actually implement those changes . It change be forceful or explanatory.
Forcing people to change is not good for companies. People will resist change and at the slightest hint of difficulties being faced , will have an attitude of ' I told you so'
However when people are taken into confidence and explained how the changes are necessary and beneficial to the overall growth of the company, and how the people can help inthe development, people will readily come out to help.
However the Covid 19 situation has made life difficult for a lot of small companies and stsrt ups. they have to layoff the workers as the demand of the products being offered is not there. These are exceptional times and the people would be ready to work for shorter durations as long as they are not laid off.
This is a better way out of the problem rather than laying off people, as we must understand that this will not last and later the same company will be looking for employees to execute work orders.
