A typical data ware house consists of several components to meed demands for its various stages
The  various Stages of a data warehouse are
1.Data Capture
2.Transformation & Cleansing
3.Aggregation & Analysis
4. And Presentation

At Data capture stage we Have various operational systems from which data is fed into Transactional Databases

At Transformation & cleansing stage data is transformed and cleansed using various ETL tools (Extract , Transform and Load) 

At Aggregation and Analysis there are various query tools that fetches data from data marts
